India vs Australia Predictions: India are clear favorites to win the series

India will be facing off against Australia in the third game of the four-game test series being held, at Holkar Stadium. India has dominated the first two games of the series with their impressive spin lineup. Will this trend continue or will Australia finally be able to break through and get their first win of the series?

India form

India is in their best form and seemed to have settled in all formats of the game. With good stability all-round, former England captain Michael Vaughan has predicted the Indian cricket team to win the series against Australia. They have won the first two games and just need another one to seal the victory. They started the series with dominating performances with spin. Jadeja coming back from the injury was the man of the match after taking five wickets in the first innings in the first game. His spin partner joined in on the act. The pair joined again in the act with Jadeja taking 10 wickets and Ashwin taking six in the second game. India boasts a very powerful spin lineup in the longest version of the game. India was impressive with the bat in the second innings while they needed only 115 to chase. The men in blue were able to score plenty of runs with their lower middle order and the tailenders in the first innings which saw them get close to the Australian total. They are in a good spot to go into the second game of the competition.

Australia form

The kangaroos came into the series with great form but were humbled by India in all the departments in the first two games. They only scored 177 and 91 runs in the two innings in the first game. Things got a little better in the first innings of the second game where they were the dominating side for the first two days. They lost nine wickets in a session for only 113 runs and lost the game. Khawaja and Handscomb scored half-centuries in the first innings and they will be looking to score more runs. Steve Smith and Labuschagne were able to navigate through Indian spinners in the first game but were not quite effective in the second one. These two will again have the responsibility of constructing Aussie innings. Nathan Lyon will have to bring all his experience to the table if Australia is to stand any chance in the series.

Expert betting tips

The pitch will assist spinners as many subcontinent pitches. A significant amount of turns will be seen from the third day. The team winning the toss will look to bat first and anything over 400 will be a good total to put on board. India is going into the game as clear favourites after winning the last two and we expect another scintillating performance from them. Expect plenty of runs in the first few days of the test.
