It is England's pace sensation, Jofra Archer, who is to be given an eagerly awaited return to ODI cricket after nearly 18 months. Rotation of England's captaincy continues this summer, and Jos Buttler will miss the games through injury. Ollie Pope captained the Test side after Ben Stokes was injured, and Phil Salt covered Buttler's absence during the recently played T20I matches. Now it's Harry Brook's turn to captain the side in this series. The 25-year-old Yorkshireman has played 57 Tests and T20Is but only 15 ODIs in which he averages under 30. As such, there have been some doubts about his ability this summer, and leading the side in five games against Australia will surely put him under the lights. Even though the batting unit of England appears to be inexperienced, their bowling unit led by Adil Rashid and Jofra Archer is going to trouble the opposition quite a lot.
England Projected Playing XI
Phil Salt (wk), Will Jacks, Ben Duckett, Jordan Cox, Harry Brook (c), Jamie Smith, Liam Livingstone, Adil Rashid, Jofra Archer, Saqib Mahmood, Reece Topley
Australia recent form
Mitchell Marsh will captains a great Australia team in this series, with only Pat Cummins and Josh Hazlewood missing from their top ODI lineup. The tourists have had a successful tour of the UK, winning four out of six scheduled games. They can bring back some key players for this series now-including Steve Smith, Marnus Labuschagne, and Alex Carey. Mitchell Starc will provide the pace and wicket-taking bowling attack for the fast bowlers, while Glenn Maxwell's batting and bowling skills will be of much aid to the team. It is quite on the face of things that Australia comes into the series with a determined approach and definitely has all the right men to do what they want.
Australia Playing XI
Alex Carey (wk), Travis Head, Steve Smith, Marnus Labuschagne, Josh Inglis, Cameron Green, Glenn Maxwell, Sean Abbott, Mitchell Starc, Adam Zampa, Ben Dwarshuis
