The NCAA March Madness has moved into the Elite Eight phase and we are cruising toward the title game. This has been another fantastic spell and we have seen more upsets than was anticipated and there are many dream runs affected by the underdogs. One of those underdogs, the Miami Florida Hurricanes is going to take on the Texas Longhorns in this Elite Eight match.

The Longhorns enter the game after defeating the Xavier Musketeers 83:71 on the back of a Tyrese Hunter dipped in 19 points. The Longhorns did a great job in the first half itself, dominating the Musketeers 42-25. Xavier responded with 46 points second half but Texas collected 41 points which was more than enough. The Longhorns shot an amazing 52.5% from the field and connected on seven of their 12 attempts from the three-point line.
Apart from Hunter, Marcus Carr had an impressive game, who put up 18 points and six assists. The bench players also had a lot of fun, Christian Bishop scooped up 18 points and nine rebounds. On the other hand, Sirjabari Rice had 16 points and three assists outing. The Longhorns' defense has been terrific and limiting the Musketeers to 43.8% meaning they had around a 9% advantage in terms of field goal percentage.
Miami Florida Hurricanes
The Hurricanes storm into this affair after defeating the Houston Cougars 89:75 on the heels of a 26 points outing by Nijel Pack. The Hurricanes took a six-point first-half lead and only improved their play in the second half, taking an eight points edge. The Hurricanes had an amazing game on the offensive, shooting close to 52% and making 11 of their 25 attempts from the three-point line.
Nijel Pack nailed seven three points during his amazing outburst. Isaiah Wong had a superb outing too, picking up 20 points and six rebounds. Norhcard Omieir had his third straight triple-double in March Madness and racked up 13 rebounds while contributing 10 points. All starters were in double figures, Wooga Poplar had 11 and Jordan Miller had 14. The Hurricanes limited the Cougars to below 40% from the field.

The Longhorns play tough defense and even the high-scoring Hurricanes can run into some trouble against them. However, at this point, you can’t underestimate any team, they have tamed multiple giants and are on a roll. However, I’d back Longhorns' defense to dominate the Hurricanes here.
