For the Kings, the summer training camp began with matches of the home tournament California Classic. There Sacramento achieved two victories - over Golden State (100:94) and Miami (95:83). Keegan Murray did not go to Las Vegas with the team, and without him, the Kings finished the competition in Nevada with 2:2 - they beat Atlanta (80:76), and Minnesota (93:80), but lost to the Los Angeles Clippers (70:80) and Chicago (99:107).
In Murray's absence, Kesler Edwards, a defenceman who transferred from Brooklyn, has taken a leading role in Sacramento's lineup. For example, in the last game against Minnesota, Edwards scored 18 points. He scored only 9 in the game against Chicago, but Jordan Ford, a point guard from St. Mary's College, undrafted in 2020, scored 25 points there.
Milwaukee Bucks
The Bucks started the tournament in Las Vegas with two wins - over Phoenix (75:84) and Denver (85:92). But then they lost two games in a row - Miami (72:91) and Brooklyn (71:92).
In Milwaukee's lineup, center Taco Fall, a seven-footer from Senegal who has not established himself in Boston and Cleveland, draws special attention. Also of note is Bucks farm-system defenceman, Marjon Beauchamp. There are two representatives of the 2023 draft - second-round picks guard Andre Jackson of champion Connecticut and forward Chris Livingston of Kentucky.
Expert Betting Tips
Several players playing for Sacramento in the 2023 Summer League were involved in the 2022 summer training camp. So the Kings are more or less a playable team by offseason standards. In all but the game against Chicago and the very first game against Golden State, Sacramento has shown effective defensive work, and why shouldn't the Kings do the same in their game against Milwaukee? Moreover, the Bucks are far from their best offensively in Vegas and have only once surpassed the 84-point mark in four games. Let's bet on Sacramento to win a low-scoring game.
