The Sixers and Bucks could very well meet in the Eastern Conference Finals at the end of this season, and their head-to-head meeting would significantly affect the position of both teams at the standings. Philadelphia has already played their first game of the regular season. Will they rehabilitate from the loss?

James Harden was supposed to be the missing piece in the Sixers' championship puzzle, and his start to the season was imposing. Despite 35 points scored by Harden, the Sixers lost to Boston 117-126, thus ending Philadelphia's winning streak of 4 games. The 76ers struggled on offense, although the club's management worked hard to staff their bench. Joel Embiid, Tobias Harris, James Harden, and Tyrese Maxey scored 100 of their 117 points, but P.J. Tucker and De'Anthony Melton also had a decent showing and made 5 of 9 shots from the field. The defense let the Sixers down, as their opponent shot staggering 72.3% from two-point range. The team had an optimal starting lineup heading into the game against the Celtics, and they will also be playing their best against Milwaukee.
Milwaukee
The Bucks were the most disappointing in the recent preseason. "The Stags lost all 5 games, and fans have a logical question: did this team win the league title the season before last? The Milwaukee debacle has a logical explanation: Chris Middleton didn't play due to injury. One of the club's leaders will also miss the start of the regular season, while Joe Ingles and Pat Connaughton are also sidelined.
Mike Budenholzer's team lost last preseason game to Brooklyn, 97-107. Giannis completely botched the game, sinking only 6 of 21 shots from the field, making his chances of winning much slimmer. Only three Milwaukee players scored at least 10 points on the night: Jrue Holiday and Javon Carter besides Giannis. The Bucks shot well from beyond the arc, with MarJon Beauchamp and George Hill also helping out.

Milwaukee is not ready for the season in the best way, with their preseason losses being a bit troubling nonetheless. Without Chris Middleton the Bucks could not do anything against Boston in the playoff series, their offensive potential is now lower than that of Philadelphia. The Sixers are capable of scoring even better at home, role players should help. If at least one of the bench players scores 10 points, the 76ers' leaders will be better off. The faceoffs are in Milwaukee's favor, but Philadelphia fell just short in the last game to pull out a home win.
