The Magic beat Golden State (115:101) and Portland (109:106), put up strong resistance to Utah (108:112) and Denver (116:119), and only once failed - in the game with Sacramento (111:136). Orlando again showed itself as a tough team, capable of dominating any opponent in a single game. The Magic does not appear to have much desire to advance in the league this season. The team is 13th in the NL East with a 16-28 record, five wins behind the playoffs.

New Orleans Pelicans

The New Orleans Pelicans have been slowing of late and will likely slip down the Western Conference standings, where the squad currently sits in fourth place with a 26-19 balance. Before the road trip to Orlando, New Orleans had suffered two losses in a row - Cleveland (103:131) and Miami (98:124). The Pelicans have won only three of their last ten games, losing all of their strongest opponents in that span and managing only Detroit, Houston, and Washington.

In their meeting with Orlando, the Pelicans could win very well. The Magic have just returned from a difficult road trip and may not have time to recover for the upcoming game.
