Memphis Grizzlies vs Orlando Magic Prediction: Memphis on fire again, Magic can fight

The NBA Regular Season is not far away from being over. The Postseason will continue and will up the intensity to another level whereas ten teams will be knocked out before the Postseason begins. One team that is heading away for many months is Orlando Magic and they will take on the title-contenders Memphis Grizzlies.

Memphis Grizzlies

Memphis enters the game after defeating the Hawks 123:119 on the back of a 27 points performance by Ja Morant. The Grizzlies have won six in a row and nine of their last ten games. The Grizzlies have now solidified their hold at the second spot and have 47 wins and 27 losses, following a transformative 2021-22 season in a big way. They had a lean period in late January and early February but now they have unloaded the type of performances that gave them a cushion in the earlier months. Defensive dynamo Jaren Jackson Jr. has upped his game, Bane aids Morant’s efforts well, Dillon Brooks plays tough defense and the team has now covered the Adams-shaped and Brandon-shaped hole well, thanks to their depth.

Orlando Magic

The Magic comes into the match after defeating the Nets 119:106 on the heels of a 21 points performance by Cole Anthony. They have now won three in a row but the overall picture isn’t that shining. Orlando has 43 losses and 32 wins and their Play-in contention is in jeopardy. However, the team overachieved this season considering how inexperienced they are. Their Forward combination has a lot of promise. Paolo Banchero has lived up to the hype in the rookie year, Franz Wagner has been becoming a reliable scorer, and Wendell Carter jr. plays tough defense, but the team will need a lot of help from the Guard positions. The Magic has a solid base to build on and this can be labeled as a superb season.

Expert Betting Tips

The Grizzlies have been on fire lately and having/not having Ja Morant has not made a difference which is a testament to their depth. At any rate, even at home and playing against a squad that is below 43% win, the Magic has surprised a ton of teams through their effort. However, I don’t see an upset there and Grizzlies should win this one comfortably. I predict a scoreline of 126:114 in the Grizzlies’ favor.
