The NBA trade deadline has brought a storm and the player movement has been intense. Thus, we are going to see widespread changes in the rosters that will lead us to tricky territories. The trades of Westbrook, Durant, and Irving have garnered headlines, and there are surely more of them coming on the way. The Westbrook experiment with the Lakers was as painful as it gets but the management did well to land D’Angelo Russell, Malik Beasley, and Jarred Vanderbilt which can be a transformative scenario. Although these three will not figure in this game, they can watch their Los Angeles Lakers take on the Milwaukee Bucks.

The Lakers made some amazing moves as if to honor LeBron’s wishes after he broke the all-time scoring record. They hauled in D’Angelo Russell, Malik Beasley, and Jarred Vanderbilt while letting go of disgruntled Russell Westbrook alongside Damian Jones and Juan Toscano-Anderson. I have to commend the management for bringing in the missing pieces.

The Lakers have been an abysmal long-range shooting team, Russell and Beasley both address that needs whereas Vanerbilt’s hustle and rebounding add a lot of value. The bench looks deep when Schroder, Walker, Vanderbilt, and perhaps Beasley join the starting unit. This squad would have probably won more than the current one if the team had this composition.

Milwaukee Bucks

If it ain’t broke then don’t fix it has been a mantra for the Bucks that won a championship a couple of seasons ago by using this philosophy. Giannis Antetokounmpo has been making case for another MVP award and it seems like there is no stopping him anytime soon. Jrue Holiday, Brook Lopez, Khris Middleton, Bobby Portis, Pat Connaughton, and Grayson Allen look like an amazing fit around him.

The team has championship aspirations and why not! They have won eight in a row for the second time this season and their offense has taken a huge step lately while the defense has been crisp as usual. The Bucks may end up at the top of the Conference and can also take down other elites in the Playoffs. Their core has played many games together, the combinations are perfect, and they have worked well past the so-called “big three/big two” model.
