NBA Regular Season is now moving closer to the trade deadline, an area where trade rumors wrap us in and we have to go through a lot of lineup shuffles. In the second half of the season, the race to the Playoffs is getting intense which means that there is a lot of analysis to go through. Anyway, in this NBA affair, the Los Angeles Lakers are going to take on the Memphis Grizzlies.

The Lakers enter the game after losing 111:116 against the Sacramento Kings despite a 32 points, 9 assists, and 8 rebounds. They have lost four out of five games and after things looked promising because of a five-game winning streak earlier, they have lost three of their games in the final minute. This is because the team has played wayward basketball late in the game and are overly dependent upon LeBron James who is missing the services of elite Power Forward Anthony Davis. Due to this, the Lakers have fallen to 25 losses and 20 wins in what has been another excruciating season. Russell Westbrook has averaged around 20 points, but not having major players like Davis, Reaves, and Lonnie Walker IV has hurt the squad.
Memphis Grizzlies
The Grizzlies come into this game after defeating the Cavaliers 115:114 as Desmond Bane rolled in 25 points. Steven Adams’ late-game offensive tip and Dillon Brooks’ block on Darius Garland won the game as Grizzlies continued their hot rebounding and defense. They have now won 11 games in a row and they haven’t scored less than 115 in any of those games while scoring 120+ during most of the games. Although Ja Morant is their scoring and assists leader, they aren’t solely dependent upon him to generate quality offense. Their defense has looked electric, especially after getting a healthy Jaren Jackson Jr. Memphis is in an intense battle for the first spot against the Nuggets.

This is a nightmarish match-up for the Lakers considering how they will go up against a Memphis team that has won 11 in a row. They have struggled even against sub-par teams so they will need something special here. The Grizzlies’ offense will fancy another 120+ points night against a crushed Lakers team and despite not having the home-court advantage, they look way deeper. I predict a scoreline of 125:116 in favor of the Grizzlies.
