Golden State Warriors vs Sacramento Kings Prediction, Betting Tips and Odds | 8 NOVEMBER, 2022

The NBA is on and we have had another fantastic season and as we delve deeper into the season, we are bound to see the turnover in fortunes as we haven’t even completed even 20% of the season. Anyway, there can be a case where a hot start leads to a special run. The Golden State Warriors have been having far from a hot start and their title defense has been underwhelming, they will meet the Sacramento Kings, who love to post losing records.

The Warriors come into this game after losing 105:114 against the New Orleans Pelicans in a game where all their starters rested. But even when they have been healthy, the going has been tough as even their full-stacked lineup has suffered a four-game losing streak. The Warriors are yet to win away from the road, where they are on an astounding six-game losing streak. In the early season, they have been the worst defensive team.

Stephen Curry has been his usual self but his fellow guards Jordan Poole and Klay Thompson have been ineffective. Andrew Wiggins has been getting it done while Draymond Green has continued to be the defensive leader. Their bench has been atrocious and the development of Jason Kuminga and James Wiseman haven’t gone as expected. The Warriors will look to bounce back if Curry is healthy. Most of their losses have been close but their defense has really got to bounce back.

The Kings come into this game after a fantastic 126:123 OT win against the Orlando Magic as De’Aaron Fox hit a 30+ feet game-winner to seal the deal, dropping 37 points on the way. The Kings have won just three out of eight games but the three wins have come in the last four matches. The Kings have lost a bunch of close games like the Warriors but to be honest, there have been some improvements from last season. But we saw similar things last season too after the team imploded as the season deepened.

De’Aaron Fox has been on fire and has been again one of the best leading Point Guards in the league. He has received immense support from Kevin Huerter who is having a career year and has been nailing the long ball. Domantas Sabonis has been a mixed bag but brings a lot of resilience as a rebounder and playmaker but needs to be more assertive offensively. Rookie Kegan Murray has brought a lot of promise whereas wing Harrison Barnes doesn’t seem to be the same player he was a few years ago.

  • Warriors: OUT: Donte DiVincezo. Game-Time Decisions: Stephen Curry, Andrew Wiggins, Andre Iguodala;
  • Kings: No one on the list at the time of writing.
  • Expected Leading Scorers: De’Aaron Fox(26-33 Points), Stephen Curry(28+ Points), Jordan Poole(19-26 Points);
  • Expected Leading Rebounder: Domantas Sabonis(10-13 rebounds);
  • Expected Leading Playmakers: Domantas Sabonis(7-10 Assists), Stephen Curry(6-9 Assists).

The Warriors have looked in a poor touch lately but remember, they have still remained a high-profile team at home and they are still difficult to beat there. A lot will depend upon the availability of Curry and Wiggins and if they don’t play, then the Warriors’ chance can take a lot but a packed Chase Arena can motivate the role players to step it up too. The Kings have a strong unit too but they are yet to inspire confidence in the fanbase.

The trouble with the Kings is that they lack defensive consistency against elite teams and they will need to be more assertive on that end. Their offense has looked in great touch as Fox has adopted more of an isolation scoring role while having Huerter has helped him in big ways. Overall, I believe the Warriors will win here in a high-scoring contest but I believe this will be decided within five points or so. The total points range can be 220-230.
