The Warriors have tremendous experience in knockout games and title contention. That was a key factor in last season's success, and it helps a lot now, too. Golden State switches on defense in crucial moments, even though their back line is quite vulnerable. The Warriors failed their first two playoff games against Sacramento State but took the lead due to 3 straight wins. Steph Curry averages 31.4 points, and Clay Thompson remains California's leading scorer with 40.7% three-pointers on 10.8 attempts. Jordan Poole has yet to be very effective on offense, but Andrew Wiggins is slowly stepping up. Andre Iguodala is still injured, and that's the only loss for the Warriors tonight.

Last week's game against the Kings was again a hard-fought affair, but in the end, Steve Kerr's team tipped the scales in their favor 123-116. Thompson was again the best shooter from beyond the arc (5-of-11). Curry's long-range effort was poor (2-of-10). Four Golden State players scored 20+ points on the night: Thompson, Curry, Draymond Green, and Andrew Wiggins reached that mark. Green surprised the most, hitting 8 of 10 from the field. Draymond also had four steals, while Gary Payton, Jordan Poole, and Andrew Wiggins each had two steals.

The Kings had already surpassed expectations by beating the reigning champs in 2 playoff games, but they could have swung for more. They lacked experience, but not all their players reached their full potential. Kevin Huerter was nearly the league's best shooter at the start of the season, and he made just 16% of his three-pointers in the series with Golden State. Keegan Murray is the best shooting guard from beyond the arc but is only 7th on the team in average efficiency.

Fox made only 9 of 25 shots on the net in his last game against Golden State. Fox, Mitchell, and Monk all missed from beyond the arc, though Malik kept Sacramento in the game. Mike Brown's men were not better under the basket, pulling down 12 rebounds compared to 11 for the Warriors. The Kings lost a lot of balls, and that had an impact on the final score as well.

Things changed drastically for the Kings, and the team was in a difficult position. It's not sure that, even psychologically, they will recover, as losses at the end to the Warriors in the last two games are particularly painful. Fox's injury also doesn't make the team optimistic, as it has already impacted their shot attempts. Both are playing at a very high tempo, not taking too many shots, and their shooting percentage could improve. So, for example, last game, both scored less than 30% of three-pointers, although they have a lot of good snipers.
