The NBA midseason has brought us welcome scenarios and we are well deep into the season. The midseason shifts past the trade deadline in a few days and this window has already brought to us the big news of Kyrie Irving being traded to the Dallas Mavericks. It means anything can be expected. At any rate, let us talk about the scene between the Denver Nuggets and the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Nuggets and the Timberwolves played just played a day ago and in that game, the Timberwolves won 128:98 behind a 20 points performance by Anthony Edwards. The Nuggets scored just 43 points in the first half compared to 63 by the Wolves and that set the tone for a blowout. The loss wasn’t a surprising one for Denver because both their leading scorers Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray and their main rotation player Aaron Gordon were out.
The easy win helped the Wolves close out a six-game home stretch win four wins and two losses, and their improved play since January has led them to 29 wins and 27 losses. Meanwhile, the Nuggets have been turning it on and they have won 37 wins and 17 losses which places them at number one in the West. Jokic has received immense help from Jamal Murray, who was scoring 30+ before the last game’s absence. The Nuggets are a well-balanced team on both ends.
Expert Betting Tips
The Nuggets did lose the last game but the return of Jokic, Murray, Kentavious, and Gordon is going to be a big one and that can change the fortunes. The Wolves have been playing well and their defensive improvements are laudable but Denver will be tough to deal with away from home. That’s why I lean towards a Nuggets win and predict a scoreline of 123:116 in their favor.
