The NBA Postseason is close and we will be saying goodbye to the Regular Season which means that the combinations for the Playoffs are developing rapidly. This means a losing streak can derail a team’s progress big-time. Anyway, keeping that in mind, let us jump into the game between the Dallas Mavericks and the Sacramento Kings.

The Mavericks come into this game after defeating 130: 132 in the Overtime against the Hawks despite a 41 points outburst by Kyrie Irving. The Mavericks have lost three in a row and seven of their last eight games. The Mavs’ lean run has coincided with Kyrie’s arrival but it is not Kyrie that has been responsible for the losses, Dallas has lacked rebounding and defensive support. This hasn’t been an ideal season for the Mavs which were in the West Finals last season after taking down last season’s best record-holder Phoenix Suns. Doncic is putting up big numbers but he may have to pack his bags before the Postseason.
Sacramento Kings
The Kings enter the affair after defeating the Pelicans 121:103 on the heels of a 23 points performance by De’Aaron Fox and another triple-double by Domantas Sabonis. The Kings have won five of their last nine games and some of these losses have been surprising but Sacramento has some holes to plug. The Kings are most likely going to finish in the third place in the West. The Kings have been on fire on the offensive end and they have built a solid team around De’Aaron Fox. Domantas Sabonis has been an amazing all-around presence and the shooting of Barnes, Murray, and Huerter makes Kings perhaps the most threatening long-range team.
Injuries
- Kings: OUT: Matthew Dellavedova;
- Mavericks: PROBABLE: Kyrie Irving, Luka Doncic.
Expert Betting Tips
The Kings have been an offensive juggernaut all season long and their ability to run the floor at a high pace tires their opponents out. However, this style also makes for open shots on the other hand and Sacramento engages in a bunch of high-scorers. This will be a back-to-back affair for the Kings while Mavs have had a two-day break. I believe the Mavs will take advantage and come on top and predict a scoreline of 129:123 in favor of Dallas.
