In round 11 of the Australian Football League, the Geelong Cats take on the GWS Giants at GMHBA Stadium. Cats are heavy favorites to win, while the Giants are heavy underdogs after losing last week.

Geelong's performance in their most recent two matches, both of which they lost, was extremely disheartening. They were defeated by the Richmond Tigers and the Fremantle Dockers, and this made it their second loss in as many games. Both losses came at the hands of teams that were lower on the ladder than the Cats, and this will anger both the fans and the players even more since the Cats are unable to win against teams that they should be able to beat. Because of their terrible run, they are currently in seventh place on the ladder and have just over half as many points as the team that is currently in first place, Collingwood. The Cats are aware that they have a strong chance of victory when they take on the Giants because their competition throughout this season has been subpar. However, given that they have lost their last two games against the Dockers and the Tigers, they cannot assume anything at this point.
GWS Giants - will Giants prove the bookies wrong?
The GWS Giants have struggled mightily for the entirety of this season, and they currently find themselves mired in a three-game losing streak. During this stretch, they have been defeated by the Western Bulldogs, the Collingwood Magpies, and the St. Kilda Saints. Even though they played all three matches against teams that were in the higher portion of the ladder, it will be disappointing for them that they were unable to take anything away from the trio of matches as their season continues to get worse. Although the Cats have not had a very good season so far, the Giants come into this match having lost three of their last four games away from home and looking like they are simply there to be defeated.

Even though the Cats' performance in their most recent two games has not been particularly impressive, I believe they will be able to comfortably put away the Giants and avoid losing their third game in a row.
