The Washington Commanders were victorious in their first preseason game, which was played against the Cleveland Browns. At halftime, the Commanders held a 14-2 lead over the Browns. The Washington Commanders had already lost 10 of their previous 13 exhibition games, so their victory came as a pleasant surprise for them in the preseason. Sam Howell tossed the ball for 77 yards and one score during the most recent game played by the Washington Commanders, while Jacoby Brissett completed 10 passes for 75 yards via the air. The Commanders were led in rushing by Chris Rodriguez Jr., who finished with 39 yards on 5 carries, while Byron Pringle and Cole Turner combined for 63 receiving yards on 5 receptions each. On defense, the Washington Commanders were led by Khaleke Hudson, who had six tackles; James Smith-Williams, who had one sack; and Percy Butler, who had one interception. The Commanders were able to pull off the victory despite the fact that they were outgained by 98 yards and only converted 3 of 11 first-down opportunities. A preseason victory does not tell the whole story for the Washington Commanders, especially after they threw two interceptions, but a win in the preseason is still a positive sign, and they will now play their next three games at home.
Baltimore Ravens - confident of keeping their preseason record intact
The Baltimore Ravens have won their previous 24 preseason games in a row thanks to their recent victory over the Philadelphia Eagles by a single score. Since September of 2015, the Baltimore Ravens have not suffered a defeat in a preseason game. In the most recent game played by the Ravens, Tyler Huntley threw for 88 yards and one touchdown, and Josh Johnson got 45 yards via the air and one touchdown. On three carries, Justice Hill led the Ravens in rushing yards with 48, while Sean Ryan and Travis Vokolek combined for 67 receiving yards on six receptions. Hill led the Ravens in running yards. On defense, Del'Shawn Phillips led the Baltimore Ravens with 10 tackles, while Daryl Worley had two sacks and Kevon Seymour had one pass deflection. Kevon Seymour also had one pass deflection. Even though they were outgained by about 100 yards and had less time of possession than their opponent by more than 10 minutes, the Baltimore Ravens still managed to pull out the victory. Due to the length of the win streak, the Baltimore Ravens players appear to play with a higher level of energy than is typical during the preseason in the hopes of maintaining the run.
