Regular Season. Week 6
Stadium: MT Bank (Baltimore)
One of the main games in the NFL Week 6 will feature the Baltimore Ravens and the Los Angeles Chargers, the teams that are off to a 4-1 start to the new season. Who will have 2 losses by the end of the upcoming game and who will celebrate their 5th win of the season? There are several options to bet on.
Baltimore has made the best comeback of the season
With a score of 9-25 10 minutes to go in their home game against the Indianapolis Colts, the Ravens suddenly began to simply destroy the opponent's defense. Mark Andrews’ two touchdowns on reception by a tight end, a beautiful pass by Lamar Jackson – and 9-25 turned into 25-25. In overtime, the Ravens, who had gained a psychological advantage, overcame their opponent, again with a touchdown pass. Marquise Brown had the winning touchdown 31-25. And Baltimore, after losing in overtime to the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 1, picked up their 4th win in a row.
The encounter with Indianapolis was a true Lamar Jackson benefit. The quarterback, who has been labeled a runner who can't pass, showed what progress he has made. 442 yards per pass and four touchdowns on zero interceptions. A result is worthy of all kinds of Rogers, Brady, and Mahomes. If Lamar continues to improve his passing game and his phenomenal running game, Baltimore will soon be unstoppable.
And the Chargers got in a shootout
You could have expected anything from the Week 5 game where the Los Angeles Chargers hosted the Cleveland Browns, but certainly not this insane touchdown shootout by players from both teams. It felt like a general agreement that both teams' defenses had been given the day off. With a score of 47-42, the Chargers managed to achieve success after all.
Los Angeles, by the way, didn’t do without a comeback either. With 3 minutes to go, the Californians trailed by as many as 7 points, but they scored a touchdown and then managed to fail the chance. Instead of tying the game, the Chargers gave their opponent a one-point lead. The Browns, however, returned the favor by ending their possession incredibly quickly and within one minute, running back Austin Ekeler was closing the game with a touchdown on a carry. Ekeler had a total of 2 touchdowns on receptions in the game against Cleveland, in addition to a touchdown on the ground. Quarterback Justin Herbert also had another great game, with 4 touchdowns on passing + 1 on takeaway and no interceptions.
Head-to-head encounters
The rivals met in the 2019 playoffs when the Charges won in Baltimore 23-17.
Expert Betting Tips
Although the opponents played very productive matches last week, this should not happen a second time. Moreover, after so many poor plays, the teams will surely pay special attention to defense.
Also, it seems that a slight preference should be given to the Chargers. The team had two more days to rest, after all.
Prediction: the Chargers will win in a not so high-scoring match.
