El Gaish vs. Zamalek (21:00)
24.12.2024
This Tuesday, we have some entertaining matches taking place around the globe, and we have picked the best three games happening on this day. First, we have the Arabian Gulf Cup competition, where we have the likes of Qatar, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Oman, Yemen, and Kuwait battling it out for silverware. Second, we have El Gaish and Zamalek locking horns in the sixth round of the Egyptian Premier League.

In the first round of the Arabian Gulf Cup, Oman was able to snatch a point from Kuwait in a 1-1 draw on the road. The home team was trailing behind by a goal in the 34th minute but managed to restore parity eight minutes later, courtesy of Issam AI Sabhi's strike.
Qatar, on the other hand, also suffered the same fate as that of their opponents in this impending encounter, as they could only manage a point in a 1-1 draw against the United Arab Emirates in the first round. The visitors have struggled for consistency and come into this clash with just two wins from their last seven competitive matches (D2, L3).
This is sure to be a banger, and I'm expecting goals at both ends of the pitch. Six of their last seven encounters have seen both teams get on the scoreboard, and I'm expecting a similar trend in this one, but I'm not ruling out a narrow win for the visitors.

United Arab Emirates vs. Kuwait
The United Arab Emirates can have no complaints about their result against Qatar in the first round, where they salvaged a point in a 1-1 draw at home. They were trailing behind by a goal in the opening seventeen minutes but managed to peg back their opponents courtesy of Yahya's AI Ghassani's strike in first-half stoppage time. This result extended their unbeaten run to three matches across all competitions (W2, D1).
Kuwait, on the other hand, would be disappointed not to have picked up maximum points in a 1-1 draw against Oman, considering they were the ones to break the deadlock in the 34th minute. They come into this clash in poor form, with their winless run stretching to ten games across all competitions (D6, L4).
From what I've seen in the last five meetings between these two sides in the Arabian Gulf Cup, all encounters were very tight. However, have faith in the United Arab Emirates coming out on top, as they have won two of those matches and are at the moment the better side.

El Gaish vs. Zamalek
El Gaish, who finished in tenth place in the previous season, has made a promising start to the current Egyptian Premier League season. They are ninth in the standings and are four points behind first-placed Al Masry. Their most recent match saw them suffer a 1-0 defeat against Petrojet SC to end a three match unbeaten run (W2, D1).
Zamalek is also one of the teams that has made a promising start this season and is a strong contender for the league title. They sit in second place with 10 points and are one point adrift of the top spot. The visitors were held to a 1-1 draw against Ceramica Cleopatra at home. This comes after defeating Al Masry 1-0 in the CAF Confederation Cup.
I have no doubt that Zamalek are favorites to come out on top in this clash. However, the home team can make life difficult for them, and let's not forget this is the same side that won 3-1 on the road in the previous season, and they can't be written off from causing an upset. This is why I like both sides getting on the scoreboard, as this has been the case in their last three matches.
