PSG vs Angers (18:00)
05.04.2025

This weekend promises some nail-biting games as the Gunners face off against David Moyes’s side at the Goodison Park. Meanwhile, Real Madrid will strive to close the gap at the top of the log when they face off against Valencia at home, while PSG strive to be crowned the champions with seven games to spare against a struggling Angers FC side.

David Moyes’s men's run of nine games without a loss ended following their (1-0) defeat against their arch-rival, Liverpool, on the road. The Merseyside Derby was filled with lots of emotions; unfortunately, Everton was unable to achieve their aim of at least securing a point. They were outplayed by the Reds and failed to have a shot at goal. On the opposing end, Arsenal secured back-to-back wins, defeating Fulham at the Emirates. The Gunners welcomed their most influential player, Bukayo Saka, who had been out injured for over three months. The Englishman wasted no time to announce his return when he found the back of the net to extend his side's lead. Arsenal, who lost their key defender, Gabriel Magalhaes, will make do with what they have against their opponent tomorrow.
The Gunners have won against Everton more than any other side in the league over the years, and they are the favorite to secure the maximum points here. Everton won’t come out to express themselves offensively against the Gunners due to the fear of being caught unaware, and they’d rather rely on counter-attacks while setting up a low block. I expect Arsenal to win narrowly against Everton, as I think they stand a better chance.

Real Madrid vs Valencia
The Galacticos have been unstable lately, even though they have won three consecutive league matches. Real Madrid have been below par at the back, failing to keep a clean sheet in seven successive matches. Their saving grace has been their ability to outscore their opponents, all thanks to their attacking depths. Recently, they returned from a (1-2) first-half loss against Leganes to secure the maximum points. On the other hand, Valencia have been up and running recently, heading here with just a loss in eight games. Carlos Corberan’s men scored once to amass all the points against Mallorca on Match Day 29. They are presently in the relegation zone, and they need to keep winning to stand a chance of remaining in the league.
With just three points separating Real Madrid from Barcelona on the log, a win is non-negotiable against Valencia tomorrow. As usual, Real Madrid are expected to concede, but they’ll eventually secure the maximum points. With Mbappe, Vinicius Junior, and Rodrygo up front for the hosts, I anticipate a win and BTTS for Real Madrid here.

PSG vs Angers
Luis Enrique’s men, who are almost certain of securing the Ligue One title, will be crowned the champions with just a point here when they host a struggling Angers side tomorrow. After twenty-two wins and five draws, PSG are twenty-one (21) points above second-placed AS Monaco. Recently, they recorded an emphatic (1-6) victory over Saint Etienne on the road. PSG will face off against a relegation-threatened Angers side tomorrow, and they are expected to exert dominance over a side who have failed to win any of their last six matches. Since 2011, Angers FC have not recorded a win against the hosts, and it will take a miracle to break the jinx tomorrow. Despite having an important game coming up against Aston Villa in the UEFA Champions League, I still believe PSG will defeat the guests regardless of who they feature here. I anticipate an open game with more than a goal before the break.
