It started well enough. I joined Paddy Power after being enticed by the £40 in free bets offer. So I placed my bet in compliance with their terms and conditions and being lucky this time won to the tune of about £30. Then a few days later the problems began. I received an e-mail telling me my account had been temporarily suspended. Documents were requested, nothing too complex proof of ID, address and funds. So I sent them off expecting that to be the end of the matter. It was not so. I contacted Paddy using the IM as I wanted to withdraw the princely sum I had won. I was told that that now wanted a much more detailed list of items, pictures of me holding various documents etc. Apparently they raised these additional requirements in an e-mail which I disputed. To end the message I said I'd like the new requirements confirmed in an e-mail and that I'd be updating with the additional documents as requested. A couple of days later Paddy e-mailed me saying that my account had been closed on "Business Grounds". I feel they have stolen my money and I can see no way to access my account to submit a formal complaint. I have effectively been silenced. Paddy Power please provide me with your complaint procedure and an e-mail contact to your complaints department.

Just robbed me out right! I put a 20 pound bet on and they suspended my account and removed the cash out feature which was working before this. Demanded document photo I'd which I explained I don't have at the moment as with moving house lost it and can't afford another passport yet asked for my deposited 20 pound back and they refused outright until they have the documents which they know I don't have! It's theft clear and simple!

When you get a win they suspend your account so as you cannot make any withdrawals, but you can bet more though!2 hours on chat and i gave them exactly what was required for ID verification and they still won't lift the suspension on my account. How can they get away with this?

I have uploaded my photo I. d and proof of address. Account was randomly suspended as I tried to log on yesterday: ‘Access to this account is denied - this account has been closed. Please contact us if you have any questions. ’I would rather them to tell me that my account was banned and that it was unrecoverable. Rather than telling me to contact customer service. So, I contacted customer service - it took a really long time and multiple transfers from agent to agent. Was asked to provide my information again. All that effort then to tell me that my account was unrecoverable. They then went on saying that they ‘cannot disclose any information and details on why it was banned’. What’s the point of telling me to contact you for more detail. Garbageeeeee… Spent 40 minutes on this trashh. I have accounts on other sites and had no problem!

Paddy power is one of the worst betting sites I've ever used. I tried to deposit money when I tried to verify the deposit something went wrong and it registered as a deposit. So it counted towards my daily limit. So I went in chat to sort it out. They had me on there for 2 hours. To say come back tomorrow when you're limits reset. I missed all my games for tonight's football. Iv logged on 3 times to paddy power and iv had a problem everytime. Avoid Paddy Power if you want to get your bet on. Iv closed my account. I wouldn't join this site.

I tried to rejoin Paddy Power recently and they asked for a whole load of documentation that I had already provided before. I appreciate that the government are making demands on bookies these days, but I am not sending original documents and I refuse to scan my passport and/or driving licence.

After wining 4k they take the money from my account and try to block it after 2 days of different verification I manage to in and all the money disappeared when I try to talk to them they said they don't know where the money is hopefully they will lose them license very soon

To say this must be one of the worst bookmakers is an understatement. Doing antepost bets in handicaps they were advertising 6PLACES for a lot of them at Cheltenham yet the shops only went 5 PLACES. So you tell me is this very false advertising because there was nothing to say the shops were different from online betting. It isnt the first time they have done this with me. Id tell people to avoid using their shops. Disgusting service

Never again. Racing Post promoted Paddy Power for Cheltenham this year. Open an account for £10 and get £50 worth of Bets (plus £2 a day free) absolutely fine until you win then they suspend the account requesting verification (which due diligence should have meant they did it before opening an account). Suspended on day 2 of Cheltenham and it has taken 7 days trying to get it unlocked despite having sent everything. I have spent hours of my life on chat, on one day 7 different agents over 3 hours. So I made a complaint and only got resolution after asking for a reference as I had been escalated to ‘Paddy Power’s Management Resolution Team’ after asking for the reference all of a sudden they managed to unsuspend my account. Needless to say………. I am shutting down and will never ever recommend them to anyone at all.

Awful. After a number of years using them I was suddenly required to verify my account to continue using it. I uploaded all documents required but nothing progressed. I contacted customer services but they couldn’t help so I asked to close my account and withdraw my balance. My account was closed and I was informed I would receive my funds by the end of the day. After waiting 3 days I contacted them again to request the funds and was told it can take up to 5 days. It has now been 6 days but still nothing and now I can’t even get hold of customer services. Avoid like the plague!
