My account got restricted after only placing 8 bets. Only won 2 out of them and there's no way for me to ever bet again.

@BetfairCS hi there. The betfair exchange app won’t open for me. I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling the app, and turning my phone off. Any help appreciated

If there was truly ever, a more loathsome twosome that thoroughly deserve each other, then this is a match made in heaven. Dishonest, unscrupulous and most of all greedy and that's being generous. Betfair was amazing when when it first appeared online ( i joined in 2003 ) and it was a breath of fresh air against the bookmaking industry, great opportunities to back ( at much better odds ) or lay and a there was a massive array of markets on all sports. Then rather than take the option of increasing commission slightly, they started to shaft people with the greedy premium charge and move the goalposts and they got away with it all because there was a total lack of opposition. Customer service totally evaporated and just became non existent, just like my account really, as i soon got tired of having my pants pulled down with the extra charges. Then they got involved with an even greedier little wretch that is paddy power ( can anybody get more than £5 on with these shysters ) and it all went downhill rather quickly and is a shadow of the company it once was. For me it is an absolute travesty that no other exchange has mounted any serious competition to them ( betdaq, for the amount of time it has been going hasn't improved an inch and the rest are a complete waste of time ) then maybe they wouldn't have got so dominant and greedy and made the rules up as they went along, knowing full well that they could get away with it. I thoroughly hope, ( although doubt it ) something can change in the future and they get there

..... which should be a ringing endorsement for any betting site considering my views on them. The only site that hasn't banned me for winning. So that's a big thumbs up in my book.

I have had a Betfair account for 18 years and now I have been asked for I. D. The e-mail I received stated my account activity would be restricted if I did not comply. Betfair actually closed the account [ circa £5000] so I could not make withdrawals. A few years ago you could ring Betfair, speak to a handler to have a problem sorted. Not now. E-mails, texts and talking to a phone operator is futile. Betdaq would be a better alternative if it had much mor liquidity.

Beware of fake company! I'm still in shock how this company could rip me off. They were convincing and supportive initially only to get my money and switch up on me. Honestly, I’m just glad I could work with emmasophiaNineZeroThree at Gee M,. to get the stolen funds back.

Betfair promote a “Spend £10 & receive £50 in free bets” on many social media sites, especially tipsters on insta. The advert is deliberately designed to insinuate that your £10 bet be a treble - which is heavily pushed by these people.. only when you follow this instruction, Betfair say, no, even though you bet a treble, (as heavily suggested in the promo advert) it should be a single, and refuse to pay you out. These people know what they are doing. They widely circulate these adverts via these various social media sources, conveniently “leaving out” the fact that it HAS to be a single, saying the bets (the free bets) MUST be a treble, making you think that the £10 should be a treble. Then, when you try and claim it, they say “oh, where did you see that, send us the link” and then claim ignorance, “it’s nothing to do with us, THESE are our tens and conditions/offer details “. It’s a very widely circulated and used scam. I called a tipster on insta on it and reported his account and about 50 of his pages. He knew what he was doing. Defrauding people, and Betfair instigated out and are complicit too. Keep your eye out for this scam “Bet £10 get £50” read the ad and I guarantee it will suggest you need to bet a treble to get the £50. The £10 treble I DID bet was winning (2/3 legs) and then the cash out function was completely removed for the whole of the third game so I couldn’t cash out £60. When I complained, they said basically we can do whatever we want to do regarding cash out and our terms protect us. They are basically thieves, and fraudsters. The fact that they can operate in this fashion shows how Shiite the regulator is. That said, I’m still COMPLAINING EVERY DAY (still waiting for a reply, they’ve not sent a final decision in writing yet, but I don’t care, I won’t let it go, building the case). Afterimage get their final decision, legally they have to refer it to an independent adjudicator if you are unhappy with their decision, so if they’ve you then you can get that decision in your favour. Also going to the regulator, and if necessary taking them to court, and all over a tenner!

what a shame! very panthentic! I made over €14000 loss through the system! At the beginning it was ok, then there were unannounced rollovers, take profits with high losses and no contact with customer service. I believe 90% of customers have losses! With the terms and conditions, you quickly notice that the company does not want to keep customers long, they only allow customer one day to comment, otherwise the complaint will no longer be processed and further emails will be ignored!. I secured the help of a recovery specialist who helped me retrieve a fair amount of my lost funds without any hitch, and I would highly recommend her to you out there globally who have been affected or in similar situation to get in touch with her via mail, ( tahibroshey at Gee M ). I'm terrified and disappointed that this company would put their reputation on the line like this but just like me I believe justice will prevail ultimately in your situation.
