From 4 to 20 February 2022, the world's best athletes in 15 winter sports will compete for 109 sets of medals at the Olympic Games in Beijing. More than 4,000 athletes from 95 countries will take part in the 24th Winter Olympics.
Most medals will be fought for in speed skating (14 sets), freestyle skiing (13), cross-country skiing (12), biathlon, snowboard and alpine skiing (11 each).

The medal count of the previous Winter Olympics, held in Pyeongchang in 2018, was won by Team Norway, which won 14 gold medals, as did Germany, but added 14 silver and 11 bronze medals - the most.
