WTA BNP Paribas Indian Wells Open has now headed to the Quarterfinals, meaning just eight players remain on the battlefield.
In the first game of the day, Belarusian Victoria Azarenka clashes against USA’s Jessica Pegula. Azarenka comes into the game after beating her compatriot Aliaksandra Sasnovich 6-3, 6-4. Meanwhile, Jessica gave Elina Svitolina a 6-1, 6-1 thumping in the prior round.
In the second game, USA’s Shelby Rogers is set to fight it out versus Latvian Jelena Ostapenko. Shelby marched ahead after a grueling 2-6, 6-1, 7-6(7-4) victory versus Canadian Leylah Fernandez. On the other hand, Jelena beat Polish Iga Swiatek 6-4, 6-3 in the Round of 16.
In the third game, Spain’s Paula Badosa will take on Germany’s Angelique Kerber. Badosa put away Czechia’s Barbora Krejcikova 6-1, 7-5. Kerber comes into the match after shutting down Australia’s Ajla Tomljanovic 6-4, 6-1.
In the last game, Tunisian Ons Jabeur will contest against Estonia’s Anett Kontaveit. Ons pinned a 6-2, 6-2 win over Anna Kalinskaya in the last round. Meanwhile, Anett registered a solid 6-0, 6-2 win against Beatriz Haddad Maia. The schedule is given below:
