Chelsea jumped out to a one-nil lead in the first half and nailed three goals in the second half to cap off a wonderful win. This is the second time in a row that a team has nailed four goals against Everton as they also conceded the same number of goals against Manchester City.
Fran Kirby started the proceedings at the twenty-five-minute mark receiving a lovely ball from Ji So-Yun. Then two minutes into the second half, Sam Kerr nailed the second goal for her team giving them a substantial cushion. At the seventy-four-minute mark, Guro Reiten got free with a cross and Sam Kerr nailed a header to continue the pain for Everton. Chelsea didn’t get done there and got their fourth goal just after five minutes courtesy of a strike by Bethany England to cap off a remarkable performance.
