02:25 AM UTC: Melbourne Stars vs Hobart Hurricanes
Hobart Hurricanes will face Melbourne Stars in their third game of the season. Hurricanes have lost the two first games while Stars also come off a loss in a rain-shortened fixture against the Sixers.
Hobart has struggled to lift the tempo in the start and although Richa Ghosh has made 65+ runs in two innings, the innings have collapsed multiple times. The bowlers have tried their best to keep the team in the game and Molly Strano has been the spark for the team. Rachel Priest will need to give a productive start to the Hurricanes up-front. Hobart must figure out batting combinations before it is too late.
Melbourne Stars lost an 11-over match versus Sydney Sixers, which doesn’t gauge their talent over 20 overs. Elyse Villani hit a half-century in the first game of the tournament and looked in superb touch. The team will need Annabel Sutherland to shine both with the ball and bat. This year can be a difficult one for Melbourne considering the loss in bowling reserves compared to last year.
