Batter Laura Woolvardt has agreed to return to Adelaide Strikers for the new WBBL season. Laura has been a prominent top-order batter since she turned 18 or so and has sizzled cricket fans with her superb cover drives and a strong off-side game. She top-scored for Strikers in the last season, scoring 347 runs at an average of 26.69.
Laura has been in terrific form during the series against West Indies and in one of the T20s games hit four sixes in four consecutive deliveries of Hayley Matthews. She has also clocked back-to-back half-centuries in the ODI series and has played in an impressive manner as an opener. WBBL, also known as Women’s Big Bash League, is an Australia-based Franchise T20 tournament and is set to begin on the fourteenth of October.
