Carli Lloyd who plays as USA’s midfielder has announced that she is going to retire soon. She has represented the USA Women’s National team in a whopping 312 games and helped them to a bronze medal during the Tokyo Olympics. Lloyd also plays for the USA based football club NJ/NY Gotham and will finish her career after playing with the club and making four international appearances.
Carli’s USA domestic career spanned over 12 years and in the eight total seasons she nailed 31 goals and handed over 10 assists. Lloyd has also scored 128 goals in 312 matches for USA. She is the second most capped USA national player behind Kristine Lilly who holds the record with 354 appearances for USA Women’s National Team.
