UEFA announced the three nominees for the Player of the Year as Barcelona FC’s Jennifer Hermoso, Lieke Martens, and Alexia Putellas are in the race for the award. This winner is going to be announced on 26 August in the UEFA Champions League Draw ceremony in Istanbul, which is in Turkey.
Jennifer Hermoso is one of the footballers in the world and the Barcelona standout nailed an outstanding 6 goals in the 7 UEFA Women’s Champions League during the 2020-21 season. Lieke Martens who plays as the winger for Barcelona also managed 5 goals in 8 games. Meanwhile, the captain of Barcelona Alexia Putellas also earned the honour for her leadership and on-field skills.
