Kazakh tennis player Yulia Putintseva showed visible frustration during her third-round exit at the US Open, losing to Jasmine Paolini.
After losing the first set and falling behind 4-2 in the second, a moment unfolded when a ball girl struggled to serve her the balls. Putintseva ignored the first toss, allowing the ball to hit her before watching the second bounce off her feet.
The crowd booed the player as she eventually caught a third ball without acknowledging the ball girl. Footage later showed the girl returning to her spot, shaking her head with a smile in disbelief. After the match, Putintseva took to social media to apologize, admitting she was "p***ed off" at herself during the incident.
Putintseva, a former top 30 player, ultimately lost 6-3, 6-4, to the fifth seed Paolini.
