WTA World No.1, Polish tennis player Iga Świątek withdrew from the tournament in Bad Homburg of Germany for health reasons. The athlete said the reason was possible food poisoning.
On June 30, the 22-year-old Polish was scheduled to play in the semifinals of the competition against Italy's Lucia Bronzetti.

I'm very sorry, but I have to withdraw from the match today. I had a restless night because of fever and possible food poisoning.
Note that in July the WTA leader will play in 2023 Wimbledon Tournament that will take place on July, 3-16. In the first round Świątek will meet China's Zhu Lin.
