Tiriac Calls Sinner’s Doping Case a Deception of Sport

Ion Tiriac, an 83-year-old member of the International Tennis Hall of Fame, commented on the scandal surrounding the positive doping test of world number one Jannik Sinner.

Ion Tiriac, as cited by MSN from L’Équipe
It is deceiving the sport, deceiving oneself, deceiving other competitors and deceiving the public. The game is rigged, my friends, and rigged to the core.

Last March, the Italian tested positive twice for the steroid clostebol, resulting in a three-month ban from WADA. Sinner is unable to compete at a professional level from February to May 2025.
