World number one Novak Djokovic of Serbia has expressed hope that he will be able to play against the great Spanish player Rafael Nadal.
Earlier, Nadal returned to professional tennis after recovering from injuries, advancing to the second round of the ATP tournament in Barcelona.
Djokovic was quoted by As as saying:
I have a lot of respect for Rafa, he is a good person and a legend of our sport, he is my most important rival . In Australia, I said I hoped to see him in one or two tournaments and I hope to do that.
Earlier Djokovic called the Olympic Games in Paris his main priority in 2024. And Rafael Nadal admitted that it is becoming more difficult for him to play.
