Former world number one Rafael Nadal of Spain said he believes 36-year-old Serbian Novak Djokovic is the best tennis player in history.
La Sexta quotes Nadal as saying:
He is a good person, with his mistakes ... but much better than what he looks like. When I see someone so successful, I don't like getting angry. The numbers don't lie, I would say he is the best in history. He has had a better body than mine and that also counts.
Nadal has won 22 Grand Slam tournaments over his career. The Serb is a 24-time champion of tournaments of this level.
Djokovic failed to defend his title at the Australian Open - 2024 . Earlier, the Serb supported Russian Daniil Medvedev after his defeat in the final of the tournament in Australia.
