World’s number one and defending Roland Garros champion Novak Djokovic has concluded his participation in the French Open, as announced by the tournament's press service.

The Serbian tennis player decided to withdraw from further competition due to a knee injury. He was diagnosed with a torn meniscus.

In the round of 16, Djokovic defeated Argentine Francisco Cerundolo with scores 6:1, 5:7, 3:6, 7:5, 6:3. He took a medical timeout at the beginning of the second set due to knee issues.

Djokovic is a three-time winner of Roland Garros, triumphing in the Grand Slam event in 2016, 2021, and 2023.
