Novak Djokovic, the 24-time Grand Slam champion, has announced that he will participate in the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris exclusively in the singles category.
He will not take part in either the doubles or mixed events.
It has also been revealed that Djokovic will not reside in the Olympic Village with the Serbian team. He prefers to focus on his preparations for the Olympics and avoid distractions, similar to his approach during the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
Currently, Djokovic is training on clay courts in Montenegro.
It’s worth mentioning that the Serbian tennis player has won one Olympic medal in his career — a bronze at the 2008 Olympics. The Olympic tennis tournament in Paris will take place from July 27 to August 4 on the clay courts of Roland Garros.
