Djokovic Supports Sinner Amid Doping Scandal: Hopefully, We Can Go Back to Tennis

Twenty-four-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic spoke to Punto de Break regarding the doping case involving Italian player Jannik Sinner.

Novak Djokovic
Hopefully, we can go back to tennis and, I mean, it's impressive what he was been doing, in the whole process of what's been happening, that he's playing such a high level, winning Grand Slam and, you know, winning most of the matches that he plays. But that's not, you know, this situation or these circumstances are not positive for our sport, so hopefully we can resolve this case as soon as possible.

Sinner is currently ranked as the number one player in singles and has won 17 ATP tournaments, including the 2019 Next Generation ATP Finals. He also contributed to Italy's victory in the 2023 Davis Cup.

Previously, Daniil Medvedev, ranked fifth in the world, expressed his support for Sinner in light of the doping issue.
