Serbia's world number two Novak Djokovic defeated Australian Alexei Popyrin in the third round of the 2024 Wimbledon tournament with a score of 4-6, 6-3, 6-4, 7-6 (7-3).
As a result, Djokovic became the third tennis player to win 50 matches at Grand Slam tournaments after turning 35. The only players with more wins are Australian Ken Rosewall (64) and Swiss Roger Federer (62).
The main draw matches of Wimbledon started on July 1st. The final will take place on July 15th.
Djokovic's next opponent will be Danish player Holger Rune.
