The South Africans and New Zealand played a thriller to conclude the Rugby championship as the Springboks came through in a 31-29 victory. New Zealand had already secured the title last week courtesy of their terrific record but that didn’t change the intensity of how the last game between the two teams turned out.
With the win, South Africa broke a three-game losing streak. The team trailed 20-14 at the half, but then Damian de Allende and Makazole Mapimpi scored for the Springboks to storm back in the game. On the other hand, the Australian team finished second after beating Argentina courtesy of a hat-trick by Andrew Kellaway. Argentina finished the tournament without a single win.
