Shaun Tait has been appointed as the bowling coach of the Afghanistan national cricket team. Shaun Tait bears the nickname of “The Wild Thing” as he was capable of bowling 100 mph deliveries and used to be one fo the fastest bowlers in the 2000s.
Tait appeared in white-ball cricket for Australia and has a total of 90 wickets in a combined 56 ODIs and T20Is. Tait’s career derailed multiple times due to a persistent elbow injury and he retired in 2017. Tait’s first project will come against Pakistan in an ODI Series which is set to be played in Sri Lanka from one to five september.
