Porsche has shown interest to become a part of the F1 calling it “appealing”. Due to the existing engine rules that only permit the usage of V6 hybrid turbo engines, which require a lot of money and are also sophisticated in terms of their construction. This is the reason why Volkswagen Group which owns Audi and Porsche has been reluctant to enter F1. With F1 relaxing rules and cost cap in 2026, more manufacturing companies can be in play for entry.
