Professional Dota 2 player Alimzhan "watson" Islambekov shared his thoughts on The International 2024 and commented on the situation surrounding Cloud9 during the reshuffle phase in an exclusive interview with Telecomasia.net.
Watson said that Cloud9 could have performed better at The International 2024:
I'm kind of satisfied with the result at TI2024, but I felt we could have gone further. In the first game against Team Liquid in the first game, the draft just didn’t work out. In the second, we made too many mistakes and made a bad decision to go for the throne when Roshan spawned. That’s how we lost in the upper bracket.
Watson made a comment on Cloud9's situation during the reshuffle:
You'll know everything in a couple of days. There's little chance of them keeping their roster.
Watson and Cloud9 secured 5-6 place at The International 2024, marking the best achievement of the Kazakh player's professional career. During the main Dota 2 tournament of the year, Cloud9 earned $91,000.
Rumors suggest that Cloud9 is planning a major reshuffle. Kataomi may end up with BetBoom Team, Fishman might become a support player for Virtus.pro, and watson could join Gaimin Gladiators as a replacement for dyrachyo.
