Professional player of Gaimin Gladiators Erik tOfu Engel shared his opinion about the schedule and the transition from BetBoom Dacha to DreamLeague exclusively for Telecomasia.net.
TOfu said that Gaimin Gladiators had to play DreamLeague S21 right after BetBoom Dacha without any breaks:
I think most teams had a break in August and we had our first scrims at BetBoom Dacha. It's natural not to be at peak form after a long break, but it was a warm-up period for most teams and then we went straight into the DreamLeague. I heard that a lot of teams practiced at DreamLeague and outplayed us during that time. Personally, I was very disappointed with the schedule. We played and traveled 2 weeks in a row and didn't have a single day off. We had to leave BetBoom Dacha the night after the finals to play DreamLeague the next day. I was tired of playing another tournament, and as a team we needed a little break.
Recall, Gaimin Gladiators won BetBoom Dacha and then left DreamLeague S21 after losing a match in the lower bracket of the playoffs.
