Three-time Olympic gold medalist Faith Kipyegon believes the Athlos women’s only track meet in New York was a beautiful way to end her season, as she bagged the title in her traditional 1500m race. Athlos was a season-ending one-day meet organized by Reddit co-founder, Alexis Ohanian, husband to retired tennis queen Serena Williams.
The meet made history with its prize purse, where winners bagged a cool $60,000, double of what they receive at the Diamond League.
Kipyegon says the meet was a brilliant reward for women athletes, and says it builds the sport more, to open up bigger opportunities.

It has given me a lot of drive and hunger for next season because basically, I achieved so much that I had planned
