Team Vitality defeated GamerLegion in the final of CS:GO BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 and became the champion of the last CS:GO Major. The match ended 2-0 (16-6 on Overpass and 16-13 on Nuke).
Mathieu ZywOo Herbaut was the highest ranked player in the match. The French cyber athlete scored 48 frags with 28 deaths and his rating was 1.54. His teammate Emil Magisk Reif was next with a rating of 1.32.
Vitality won $500,000 and tickets to the IEM Cologne 2023 and BLAST Premier: World Final 2023. GamerLegion received $170,000.
In the playoffs, ZywOo Herbaut's team defeated Into The Breach and Apeks before beating GamerLegion in the final. The team finished the Legends Stage with a 3-0 record.
The BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 took place from May 8th to May 21st in Paris, France. 24 teams competed for $1.25 million in prize money, as well as entries to IEM Cologne 2023 and BLAST Premier: World Final 2023.
This was the last CS:GO Major. Beginning in 2024, Valve will host tournaments in this series in CS 2. The first championship will take place in Denmark and will be organized by tournament operator PGL.
