Qatar To Host Summer Olympics In 2036

Doha, the capital of Qatar, will host the Olympic Games in 2036, according to a statement from Relevo. Currently, Doha is in talks with the International Olympic Committee to finalize the last details.

Qatar was chosen as a host candidate because Doha has been a venue for major world competitions for over 10 years.

Among them: the Handball World Championship in 2015, the Cycling World Championship in 2016, the Artistic Gymnastics World Championship in 2018, the Athletics World Championship in 2019, the Football World Cup in 2022, and the Swimming World Cup in 2024. Additionally, in 2027, the capital will host the Basketball World Championship.

It is known that Los Angeles will host the Olympic Games in 2028, and the Australian city of Brisbane will host the Summer Olympics in 2032.
