The headquarters of the organizing committee of 2024 Olympic Games in the suburbs of Paris are being searched, the AFP newspaper reported citing a source familiar with the situation.
According to the source, the raid was caused by the activities of the organizing committee and the state body Solideo, which deals with the infrastructure of the Olympic venues.
It is also reported that the searches are linked with the investigation into the case of possible illegal gains from the contracts for the Games.
Representatives of the organizing committee are fully cooperating with the investigation. The 2024 Olympic Games will be held from July 26 to August 11, 2024 in Paris.
