According to Milliyet, Turkish alpine skier Berkin Usta, who participated in the 2022 Winter Olympics, tragically lost his life in a hotel fire at a ski resort in Turkey.
The fire reportedly began in a cafe at 5:29 local time. Usta's father, Yahya Usta, who served as the head of the Turkish Association of Ski and Snowboard Instructors, also perished in the incident.
During the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, Usta finished in 43rd place in the giant slalom event.
