2024 Olympic swimming champion Thomas Ceccon from Italy was spotted sleeping in a Paris park after expressing dissatisfaction with the living conditions in the Olympic Village, according to the Daily Mail.
Ceccon had previously voiced concerns about the lack of air conditioning in the Olympic Village, high room temperatures, and poor food quality.
Saudi rower Hussein Alireza discovered Ceccon sleeping on a towel in the park and shared a photo on social media, noting the incident took place near the Olympic Village.
During the Olympics in Paris, Ceccon won a gold medal in the 100-meter backstroke and a bronze medal in the freestyle relay.
Concern over the quality of food in the Olympic Village has also been raised by the German men’s field hockey team, who reported shortages of food supplies.
