Phone manufacturer Samsung has noticed that several models of collectible smartphones for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris are being sold online, as reported by Le Parisien.
The publication indicates that these gadgets were intended for Olympic competitors. Prices start from 1,160 euros, and the phones are sold in unopened packaging along with a bag that participants also received from the organizers.
It has been noted that Samsung has already reached out to the IOC for information on the matter. The organization responded that athletes are free to dispose of the phones as they see fit.
Only devices reported as stolen from the Olympic participants will be deactivated, following consultations with the police.
