The first matches of the Play-In stage at IEM Cologne 2023 in CS:GO are over.
The matches used a best-of-1 format. MOUZ defeated The Mongolz on Nuke in overtime with a score of 22-19 rounds. At the same time, Ninjas in Pyjamas defeated Into the Breach on Ancient (16-5).
Thus, MOUZ and Ninjas in Pyjamas advanced to the next stage of the tournament. The teams will meet in the second round of the Play-In stage. The Mongolz and Into the Breach will battle it out in an elimination match in the lower bracket of the championship.
Play-In Stage of IEM Cologne 2023
IEM Cologne 2023 is held from July 26 to August 6 in Germany. 24 teams are playing for a prize pool of one million dollars. The winner will also get a slot at IEM Katowice 2024.
