French President Emmanuel Macron visited the locker room of the Toulouse rugby club after the team won the national championship final against La Rochelle.
The politician congratulated the team for winning the gold medals. Macron also celebrated with the Toulouse players. The French president drank a bottle of beer in a gulp, after which the rugby players showered him with alcohol.
Toulouse won the French championship for the 22nd time in its history. The club holds the current record.
The President of France takes an active part in the sports life of the country. Earlier it became known that Macron influenced the decision of PSG forward Kyllian Mbappe to stay in Paris.
